David H. Smith


David H. Smith has spent the last 46 years engaged in managing, acquiring, and founding business’s in both the Agricultural and Retail industries.  David’s work has been on building company cultures that focus on releasing the potential of the individual’s and collective skills and energy of those involved.  This has included working in both domestic and international environments.  In addition, David has travelled around the world to offer nonprofit services to diverse groups of people assisting in building friendships and unified communities where they reside.  Currently David is the founder and owner of Creative Sales and Marketing, a retail focused organization located in San Antonio, TX.

Letty Gonzales


Letty Gonzales leads all Marketing, Member Engagement, and Employee Engagement efforts, including community involvement and staff engagement initiatives for Generations Federal Credit Union. She previously held the position of Commercial Business Development Officer for GFCU. Her 25 years of experience includes Retail, Private and Commercial Banking. Gonzales is a graduate of Leadership SA Class 45 and the SA Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program. She serves as Chair of the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and the Boards of San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Ohana Smiles and Boysville, Inc.

Karen Pumphrey


Karen Pumphrey is an Applied Learning Environment (ALE) teacher and Special Education Department Coordinator who has dedicated the last 27 years to Clark HS in the Northside Independent School District. Her goal is to provide educational opportunities to her students while in school and assisting families as they connect to available community resources. Karen is a graduate of UTSA with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Special Education. She is an advocate for individuals who need support in and out of the school setting and has dedicated her career to providing opportunities for her students.

Dr. Melody Zamora, originally from Tyler, Texas, graduated magna cum laude in Biomedical Sciences from Texas State University in 1997. She completed her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR in 2003. For the first 10 years of her career as a dentist, she served as Chief Dental Officer for 2 different community health centers, with the sole mission of expanding access to dental care while delivering a full scope of high-quality dental services in a fiscally responsible manner. During those years Melody designed, built, equipped, staffed, and managed 12 dental clinics, a school-based clinic, a clinic in a homeless shelter, a clinic in a battered woman’s shelter, a clinic in an emergency children’s shelter and a mobile RV clinic serving over 4 counties. In 2014, Melody created private practices, Zam Dental in 2 locations in San Antonio, to continue her efforts to improve oral health access and care to our community. With this background, Melody is honored and excited to lead the dental specialty portion of the new and upcoming Multi-Assistance Center (MAC) created by visionary and philanthropist, Mr. Gordon Hartman.

Dr. David Zamora grew up in his hometown of Mission, Tx located in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from Mission High School in 1989. Upon graduating, David enrolled at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) where he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. David completed his Bachelor of Science in 1994 and then pursued a Master’s degree in Biology. Upon completing his Master’s in 1997, he moved to Portland, Oregon to continue his education at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU). In 2004, he earned his Doctorate degree in Cell & Developmental Biology studying the inflammatory properties of blood vessels. From 2004 to 2007 David continued on as a post-doctoral fellow at OHSU where he expanded his area of research to include infectious parasites. In 2007, David and his family returned to Texas where he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. In 2010, David served his country by joining the team of researchers at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (ISR) where he led several research programs investigating new methods to regenerate skin and eye tissues for our wounded servicemen. In January of 2022, David brought his talents and skills on a full-time basis to Zam Dental Clinics and has jointly led the efforts with Dr. Melody Zamora to establish Happy Ohana Smiles at the MAC. Together, Drs. David and Melody Zamora lead a team of compassionate, dedicated individuals who are committed to bringing exceptional dental and oral health care services to our special needs friends at the MAC.
